Nakia Gelin is a 12th grader at Eight Mile Rock High School  where she serves as Deputy Head Girl.

At her school, she also serves as a director of the Interact club, a counsellor of the Anti-Bullying club, and president of the Student Christian Movement association.

She aspires to be a general medicine practitioner and has been accepted to the University of the Bahamas’ Jump Start Program where she will begin classes in Spring 2018.
