TEDxYouth@GrandBahama took place at the Regency Theatre in Freeport, Grand Bahama, Bahamas on Tuesday, January 31, 2017! Over 300 junior and high school students participated in this TEDxYouth event, which was a fun, imaginative, and smart TEDx event designed for, and organized by young people on Grand Bahama island. It brought ideas worth spreading to all ages and featured two adult and two student speakers and a TED Talk videos under the theme “What If…?” and aimed:
- to bring together bright minds to give presentations that are idea-focused and on a wide range of subjects;
- to foster learning, inspiration, and wonder; and
- to provoke conversations that matter.
Combined, they empowered Bahamian youth to imagine ways that they can help to shape their individual and collective futures.
